Lurking Lolita

Lolita has always been a controversial book, yet still a style inspiration (albeit a bit of a creepy one).

Most people are familiar with the movie versions but book covers from over the years and around the world are intriguing as well.  It's interesting to see how different cultures, times and social mores put a lens on the story.

They've collected over 150 covers from 33 countries spanning 54 years

Oh thank you for sharing this; Nabokov is my favorite author, and Lolita was the first book of his I read, many years ago. These are fascinating!

Lolita is one of my favourite novels. The subject matter is disturbing, but Nabokov's prose is just magical.
